This unit also comes with an optional sun sensor, which can also be used to lower and retract the screens when the heat of the sun exceeds or falls below the set threshold. These handles are available in different standard lengths to suit the individual need of the customer. </p> <div class="clear"><br /></div><h3>Remotes </h3> <p>All of the remote controls transmit with radio waves, and are not infrared. The controls are equipped with a rolling code signal for low-risk transmittance. The wireless remotes are exclusive to the motors. They are offered in hand-held and surface mountable remotes, as well as an in-wall that has the appearance of a decora box mount switch. No hard wiring is required.</p> <p>The expected battery life in one of these remotes with normal operation is approximately 3 years for the hand held and wall mounted remotes.
